for some reason i was thinking about French motorcycles today. here are a few. first one is a 1940 Gnome et Rhone AX800 flat twin with sidecar. made for the French Army. next is a very clean Koehler-Escoffier V/twin. you can just barely see it in the picture but the engine has twin port heads for the exhaust. 4 straight pipes, this thing must have sounded magnificent when it was running. third is a great picture of a French rider on track. fourth is a Motobecane Cafe Racer and last a neat little 1936 Terrot 350cc machine.
